Breast Cancer

Sorry to everyone to be less than current on posts.

I've had some unexpected test results come in and it looks like I'm going to be battling breast cancer in the future months. I don't mind telling you that fear has me in its nasty grip and I'm up and down faster than a rollercoaster.

Waiting to get into the doctors and see what they have to say and how they want to attack this beast. And I can truthfully tell you its the wait of my life. I'm not feeling very motivated to work or post right now. What little sleep I'm getting leaves me in a state of unrest, anxiety and exhaustion.

So sorry to let you all down and hope you will hang in there for a bit and let me get my sea-legs with all of this news. I believe I will be posting more than ever once I find balance. I believe in the way I'm eating (well maybe "brown" will have to take a bit of a back seat in favor of green, but I believe I will still pursue a low carb way of life and will still pursue fats in favor of carbs and excessive proteins).

I will be back in touch soon to post a new flavor packed, sassy, Texan thread.

Blessings all around!

  1. I would be terrified too. I think that is very normal. I am sorry you are facing this. My sister in law is a breast cancer survivor and I know many other long time survivors. I hope this will encourage you. I will be praying for you.

  4. Wow, scary dose of reality. I am so sorry for all you are going through, I'm sure the waiting and dreading are worse than knowing for sure. Then at least you will have a plan of action. I wish you peace and strength and the love and care of your loved ones.

  5. Dear Susie,
I am so sorry to read this news tonight. (((HUGS))) Have you "met" Rosethorns on LCF's. I think she is a cancer survivor. I will keep praying that you beat this cancer. My uncle had lymphoma tumors all over inside his body and he survived it all! Be strong and have faith. Your life is in God's hands and He will never let you down no matter the outcome. Draw close during this time and God will draw close to you too and He will be your source of comfort all along the way.

We will be waiting for you to return to your blog, however, we understand you will need all your strength to fight this thing. You strike me as a fighter! Have you heard of visualization techniques of visualizing the cancer cells being eaten up and destroyed? Certainly can't hurt. http://www.healthnewsnet.com/imaging.html

    Love and hugs,
