Linda Sue and Fluffy Chix Do The Cheeburger Cheeburger Twist!

Cheeburger Cheeburger strikes a chord - Oh, I Gotta New Song & It Goes Like This...

Sometimes decisions are difficult. It’s hard to choose who gets top billing this morning, Cheeburger Cheeburger, who became one of Fluffy Chix sponsors of the May 1 Giveaway, or Linda Sue, friend, and long-time recipe queen of LindaSue’s Low Carb Menus & Recipes fame!

Let’s start with my pal, LindaSue! If you haven’t experienced her recipe site yet, where ya been? You just fall off a log out in the hallow or somethin’? Linda Sue’s Low Carb Menus & Recipes is where Linda creates and collects recipes of the low carb/controlled carb persuasion. There are SOOOO many Induction Friendly (IF) and Diabetic Friendly (DF) recipes in her collection, you could eat for days and never make the same delicious recipe twice. Low carbers rejoice! Let the Macarena begin!

Ok, I'm gushing. Am I gushing? *sob* I am.

Linda Sue's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - a great tool
for Inductioneers and Low Carbers of the world!
Not only does Linda Sue explain how to make great food on her menu and recipe site, she also rates and discusses the recipe and let's the cook and reader know if there are changes needed. Convenient! And useful. Brains and beauty all in one! That's Linda Sue AND her website.

Linda Sue's Low Carb Menus & Recipes is easy to navigate and includes delicious, drool-worthy pictures of some of the most tried and true, well-tested and loved low carb recipes on the internet. (Thank you Al Gore for inventing the internet. My ass also thanks you!)

Linda Sue's White Castle Pie makes me drool just thinking
about it. Good bye White Castle. Hello pie!
You want burgers? No problem. Pizza? Yep, she’s got ‘em. Korean Barbeque? Been there done that - WITH Linda Sue! Awesome! A trip to Coney Island for dogs? There. I’m serious. She has such wonderful recipes and ideas. She’s a lovely friend and has been so generous and supportive of me during the past couple of years, I treasure her! Thanks for havin' lunch, Linda Sue! Thank you for makin' countless dinners for Denny, me and the sock monkey boys vis a vis your great site!

We spent almost four hours together chatting, eating, drinkin’ ice tea like true DFSWs (Delicate Flowers of Southern Womanhood – Thank you, Vicki, for that wonderful term!). I think the last time Linda Sue and I had lunch, just shortly after my breast cancer diagnosis, we may have spent 5 hours together! Haha! They see us coming and want to charge us office rental. (Seriously though, the staff at Cheeburger Cheeburger were awesome and let us lounge for hours with patience and hospitality! Endless Mason jars of iced tea!)

We both enjoyed the grub! Cheeburger Cheeburger specializes in “Invent Your Own Taste” and Linda Sue and I both indulged. Cuz we have great taste of course. Hehe. She created her own burger. I created my own “Big Salad”. I named my salad Lewis, cuz it’s a catchy name.

A perfect bite of my Big Salad, aka Big Lewis!
Moist tender chicken breast, REAL chicken breast - all natural, no mechanical separation involved, with bold roasted red peppers, blue cheese, cucumbers, black olives, guacamole and a huge honkin’ portabella mushroom. It filled me up in a jiffy.

I felt morally superior to every driver in every diner that visited Friday's, Chilis, 59 Diner, Willies, BrrrrgrrrrKng, KFffffffU, et al (you know who you are)! My salad was tasty and filling without leaving me in a state of woe from busted seams and a protruding belleh!

Creamy and delicious looking. I had burger envy!
Linda Sue’s 100% Natural Angus Burger got robed in Ranch, Salsa, tomatoes, and guacamole - no bun and pass the olive, please! She was only "Semi Serious" about it, but I think her burger asked her to go steady. I'm wonderin' if J will mind? Oh yum!

Big menu. Big Choices! Makes eating easier.
Sometimes Inductioneer’s feel fear when faced with the specter of eating out. So many pitfalls lurk at every bend. Did the chef put sugar in the dressing? Is the meat full of bread crumb fillers? Lions, and tigers, and bears – oh my! But at Cheeburger Cheeburger, we saw a willingness to make the customer always right. They gave us exactly what we wanted and needed. NO angst. No sweat. No sugar. Low carbs. Check please!

Ok, Cheeburger Cheeburger builds diversity-
they love low carbers and carb monkeys alike!

(Just avoid looking deeply upon the Build Your Own Shake page and you will do just fine! OMG! *drool*)

I made the mistake of looking at this page too long. Like Pete who fell prey to the song of the Sirens from Oh Brother Where Art Thou, I wanted to go to sleep you little baby!

It was almost too much for my delicate sensitivities and when I saw the mile-long list of free add-ons, I almost caved...thank goodness for the calm presence of Linda Sue!

Oh my lovely big salad lunch. Filled me right up!
My salad was huge and tasty. I never once felt limited by choices. My goodness, the list of free “extras” for both the salad and burgers/sandwiches is huge! No extra charge, either – except for extra cheese. I coulda had eleventy trillion different toppings on my Big Salad, Lewis. But instead I settled on stealin' Linda Sue's olive from her plate on account that she hates 'em!

You also choose the size of burger and preferred doneness. Bonus! And you eat off a real plate. I don't know about you but nothin' makes me more mad than having to eat a bunless burger or sandwich served on a piece of deli paper from a $0.50 basket!

I heart their china, their knives. Their forks. Amen.

I really wish there were more restaurants like Cheeburger Cheeburger. Dieting wouldn’t be as difficult and maybe all our waist measurements would be a bit smaller, not to mention my behonkus! No hormones. No additives or preservatives. Gotta love it!

Healthy, delicious, fast food in a charming 50’s-style retro diner, what a great change! The tunes sounded like they came out of a 50’s jukebox instead of the pounding, insistant rap you hear in most restaurants these days. We heard the Platters sing. Get it? Platters? :D

If you are in the Houston Area, check out Cheeburger Cheeburger but don’t just stop with Houston!

Cheeburger Cheeburger has franchise opportunities available and also has locations throughout the U.S. Find a Cheeburger Cheeburger location near you on their website store locator map.

Be sure to tune in next week to find out more about Cheeburger Cheeburger's sponsorship contribution to the Fluffy Chix Giveaway happening May 1.

(Disclaimer - Oh by the way, Cheeburger Cheeburger, graciously agreed to provide a gift card for the contest - I asked for it. They let me have my way, again! In no way did their sponsorship influence the restaurant review, nor our choice in where to eat. I will be going back, even though I'm NOT eligible to win their cool gift card! Yummy vittles. No persuasion involved!)

Cheeburger Cheeburger, Pepsi, Pepsi!

Bye Linda Sue! Thanks for the Bouquet Garni. See ya next month!
